High Risk Program

Texas Breast Care can help you to identify if you are in a high risk group to develop breast cancer. We can help answer questions if you have a personal or family history of breast cancer concerning:

  • the role that genetics may play
  • your own or family members' risks of developing cancer
  • personalized cancer screening recommendations

Texas Breast Care center may be particularly helpful for people who have a personal or family history of:

  • many family members that have had cancer of any type
  • pre-cancerous findings in several family members
  • one family member diagnosed with multiple types of cancer
  • an inherited cancer predisposition
  • uncommon types of cancers
  • cancer occurring at an earlier age than is typically seen

Texas Breast Care center can help you by providing breast cancer information to determine if you are in the High Risk category for breast cancer. Our breast cancer treatment services include:

  • a review of your family history of cancer and risk of developing cancer
  • discussing the role of genetics in cancer
  • reviewing genetic testing options-BRAC Analysis
  • physical examinations – breast exams with close follow-up
  • annual screening mammograms
  • specialized testing – Breast MRI or BSGI
  • a discussion of breast cancer screening options and tests, tailored to you and your family. If surgery is indicated, we will help you to explore reconstructive options

Knowing your family history can help you to be able to take better care of your health. Texas Breast Care center encourages people to get better acquainted with their family's medical history.

Although cancer may run in your family, it doesn't necessarily mean your breast cancer risk is high. Although, knowing your family's cancer history can help clarify your specific risks and help you take steps toward preventing breast cancer.

If you feel you are at risk of developing breast cancer then start your diagnosis as early as possible.
