Detection And Diagnosis

This section describes the entire spectrum of breast care issues starting with prevention and continuing with diagnosis and treatment of both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) conditions. Fortunately, the majority of women will never get breast cancer. In addition, the majority of women with symptoms or with abnormal mammogram will not have breast cancer. However, the statistics are of concern. Approximately 1 in 8 women will at some time in their lives be diagnosed with breast cancer, and many women will be in a situation in which cancer is suspected. It is thus essential that women are well informed about the entire spectrum of breast care issues.

For the most part, changes in the breast are usually not breast cancer related, but it is always good to have any breast abnormality or breast pain checked as soon as possible. If you find a lump or have any other warning signs of breast cancer, especially if the look of your breast changes, make an appointment with our breast doctor at Texas Breast Care.

If you have been previously diagnosed or treated for breast cancer and you see changes or warning signs such as a new lump or breast pain that does not go away, make an appointment to see our breast doctor at Texas Breast Care. Our breast surgeon will be happy to work with you on breast care health, breast screenings, and can set up a breast care program based on your family history and other risk factors concerning your breast health.

A diagnosis of breast cancer can be devastating. It may possibly take some time to deal with all your feelings. You will have several choices to make in the upcoming future. Texas Breast Care wants to help you to know everything about your breast care treatment to help you be better prepared to make the best choices.

If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed, you need answers – and reassurance, call or email us at (972) 284-0080.  You can also schedule your consultation only by simply filling out the form located to the left.  Please contact us if you find any breast abnormality or breast pain during your breast self exam.
